“My name is Terriyaka Murray, and I was born and raised in Macon, GA. From a young age, I always dreamed of teaching. However, life took an unexpected turn when I developed a chronic illness that impacted my learning abilities, leaving me feeling inadequate. Despite this setback, I found inspiration and motivation through my two lovely children, who unknowingly challenged my limiting beliefs and shed light on the issues within our public justice, welfare, and education systems.

Witnessing my own child fall academically behind due to the pandemic, I made it my top priority to turn every opportunity at home into a valuable learning experience, aiming to help her catch up. These experiences led me to a powerful realization: I can teach my own child, and if I can do it, so can others. This revelation ignited a burning passion within me to support children and parents facing mental and educational barriers.

I want you to know that I not only hear your concerns, but I truly see you and feel your aspirations. Learning doesn’t have to adhere to a rigid structure; it simply needs to be heartfelt and sincere. Your love and unwavering commitment are the most potent tools in your child’s educational journey, and that can illuminate the path to a brighter future for our children.
